Easter event - Chase the White Rabbit

Please help! How do you get the "Chase the White Rabbit" Easter quest done? It says I need to chase away 3 rabbits. Is it having the Feeble mod on an Easter lvl thusly making the hares escape instead of damaging me?

There's a rabbit that spawns randomly, grey one. You'll know when it spawns 'cause a sound cue, when you click on it the rabbit disappears. Do that 3 times.

I have seen no bunnies since I got the quest.
I have played easy, hard, endless, heroic trials and special Easter stages but bunnies are nowhere to be found.
I suppose it is just bad luck.
Or am I doing something wrong?

I haven't seen any either; I play the daily once a day and endless once or twice a day. I've also played the Beyond stage with the flowers.

It is very rare. I play a fair bit daily, enough to complete a HT and take a few stabs at EM. It took me at least a week to complete it.

*rolls eyes* Time limited events in single player games are bad enough without making it hair-pullingly frustrating.

Took me about three days of play to get that quest done. And I mean I spent the majority of the days on that. Three days of running back to back maps. Very little time spent on other things. Now I'm left here at the end of the event hoping I can still get Easter drops from prize boxes. So far nothing

Alright, This event sucked... As a iOS player, who played the Main story to completion, I encountered 3 rabbits, yet only caught 2... because one got hit by a Pyro's flare that spawned while I was getting the stage done. In the time I started playing, to the end of this event, I cleared Dimension 2 in EM, I have 5 T3 Classes unlocked in the Token Shop, and I unlocked 4 unique Special Chests! And those are supposed to be tough to unlock! I even found a Mega Token at one point.

Tried to run through normal Quests as quick as I could in a last ditch effort to encounter another rabbit and a game crash brought my determination to the ground...

I'm seriously doubting that people even got to the final leg of the quest at this point. I seriously want to know the rate of encountering a Rabbit in a stage? At this point, I'm convinced that it's a 1% chance for each Stranger that spawns.

There was a way to "cheat" that event quest if you had Detective I

Each stage has a guaranteed stranger. Solve a cell whenever you activate a stranger, but there's a 10% chance to get bad intel!

Playing the first stage of any quest then restarting until you got all 3 rabbits.

Or

If you can start an infinite then you can achieve/obtain whatever you want in-game.

Just to keep things in context:
I thoroughly enjoy the game.
I probably bought it from a sale and have literally HUNDREDS of hours of playtime.
Developers constantly introduce new content, be it either limited time events or new items and balance updates. And all this for free.
I really hope they keep working with the game even if there are occasionally little grievances (Maniac, anyone?).
