How do I become exalted???

I have beaten all bosses up to the king and have completed all quests I can currently get to but I can't get past the exalted doors. I think I need to get to the felfields, but both paths are blocked.
Edit: I have now gotten past the king twice and on both attempts, nothing happened. Did I miss a step? I have beaten 3 acolytes and some side bosses too as well as completing all quests along the way. Idk what I am supposed to do.
Solved: welp it wasn't a glitch I am just dumb...

Did you beat the King ? Because that's how you become Exalted.
I've killed 3 acolytes (Lorn, Tristana and Cornelius) and can now access to Exalted areas.

The Exalted status allows you to talk to the big fish (?) guys at certain gates to reach the next area. When you beat the King boss it should have said "EXALTED"...did you remember seeing that screen? If not, I'd contact the devs and have them look at your save file to see if this is a bug that needs to be addressed.

I've beaten the king twice now on two different files (On the switch version) and I haven't seen that once.

You need to kill 3 Acolytes regardless of the order to get Exalted.

I did all that twice, on two different files. I also emailed the developers, no response. I really like this game but I literally can't advance. When I kill the king nothing happens.

What email did you use to contact us?

As for the bosses, you need to kill 3 _Acolytes_
Boatswain Borga from the first level doesn't count as one.

So in order to get exalted, you need to kill:
-Lorn (in the Caverns, this you've done)
-Lady Tristana (at the Gardens, where the other Felfields entry is)
-King Cornelius (which you have)

So my guess is, that you're missing Tristana here :)

And just to make sure here, you have done the kill-blows to all acolytes? As in, once they fall, you still have to hit them once to proceed?

OMG! Thank you so much I was just being dumb lol. I finally found her! I was stuck for like a month lmao
