Gloves and Band-aids?

I've spent two days checking trash cans and boxes for gloves and band-aids to upgrade my house, but can't find them anywhere. Do they just have a very low drop rate, or am I looking in the wrong spots?

To get the gloves, you need to steal from the old lady's cart. For the bandaid, you need to get to level two with the schoolgirl and give her a feather, which you get from the pigeons. Here's a link to a walkthrough I found.

you need to steal from the dogs grandmas shop unfortunately

At the dog's grandmother shop, at the bottom right side of the map, there are band-aids and gloves. You need to steal those from her.
