For each event that's not a campfire event, each choice has a stat. That's why you see stuff like "so smart" or "not so bold" when you succeed or fail.
If both of your stats are below a certain amount (the exact amount changes depending on how far along in the game you are), both choices will fail. Similarly, if both of your stats are above a certain amount, both choices will succeed.
If any of the two required stats is between the low threshold and the high threshold, picking the one corresponding to your highest stat of the two will be a success, the other will be a failure.
In case of a tie between the stats, and if that tie happens between the two thresholds, it's a 50% chance of success, 50% chance of failure no matter what you pick.
The devs are currently working on adding a tutorial to the game to make all this stuff easier to understand.
There is no pre-decided right or wrong answer, it's based on which stat is higher. If both stats are high enough you'll succeed either way. If both stats are too low though, then you'll fail either way.
I have seen fails at 10 on the last day and successes at 6 on that same day. So being "in character" can also make things easier.
But yeah as said, each option has a stat and a number associated, if you surpass the number with your stat you will succeed.
That's because of the stat comparison. Say that, on the last day, the thresholds are 5 and 15. If any of your two stats are between those, only the highest stat will succeed. If your 10 is the worst of the two, it's a failure, if your 6 is the highest of the two, it's a success, that's how the game works.
Now you can unlock a tutorial after some matches that shares some basics. But basically, a lot of what has been said here!
Anyway, the style is beautifully captivating. The colours. And, the monster thing. Never-ending source of new unique characters. For the creators, and the fandom. As a cartoon on TV, IMO, it'd be unique cartoon to see playing on TV like, on cartoon network, etc. If the writing stayed as it is, and didn't have to change at all, to suit cartoon net', etc. I would def' be in-love. If, I'm low-key not, already.
Like, I can't think of other cartoons playing on TV like THIS story, ATM. The background info of each character is very interesting. Characters, and designs of the world, objects, outfits etc, are such 'candy for the eye' and visually appealing. Can there be an eye candy monster? I would totes buy that pencil case. Getting side tracked.
Basically, I suck at all games and end up using guides. But, this info helped a lot.
Using your valuable info, I actually feel like the mechanics underneath this game suit my casual play style well, cos, I feel like I could do it without guides now. I aim to buy the franchise in future when I earn and save that dough!
