For Blue Cirno, I also made extensive use of the miracle mallet and the junko event. Those basic cards became incredibly useful and cheap blocking tools, I would have gotten overwhelmed otherwise even with my duplicated Ice Blocks.
In both cases, I relied hugely on the Reclusive Sage ability that creates False Moons too-- It really makes an enormous difference and adds so much additional power and versatility to each turn.
As others have said, don't be scared to branch out into other colors. Cirno has so many useful options and is extremely well-suited to multicolor especially with Green.
