My cow won't go out of the barn
I rang the bell to call them outside and then waited for at least 8 game hours, only one cow came out. Other cows are in the barn and lined up at the door, not moving at all...
I found only cows are like this. They move very slowly both out and in, and always waited for a really long time at the door. (looks like they are in queue and can only go through the door one by one, but cows will waited for a long time after last one went out, or just stuck at the door and stop moving all day) pigs and goats can go outside normally at most time, unless they are blocked by a cow.

I was having the same issue off and on with mine. They'll block the other animals from getting back into the barn.

I'm also noticing since this last update that I have 1 sick animal nearly every 1-2 days. They always have food and water and I was letting them outside for a few hours for the first part of the day before I run up north to gather random supplies then I put them back in the barn on my way back through the area towards the south of the tavern. I did see it mentioned that weather can cause them to get sick now and I am in Winter so I stopped letting them out for the last week to see if that was the cause but it made no difference. There is at least 1 animal that keeps getting sick every 1-2 days whether they are let outside or kept inside during Winter. It is a different animal usually each time so it's not the same one getting sick over and over. The medicine is getting spendy to buy so often and I'm wondering if it's worth the cost to try and raise them at this point honestly lol

My animal is getting sick every 1-2 days as well. It feels like the opportunity of getting sick went up since the last update. (but I'm not sure because I didn't test it) The medicine is way too expensive so I stopped buying medicine. If the animal gets sick I just slaughter it and put in a new one. _(:зゝ∠)_

Haha that might be a better idea actually. I was trying to remember what the max amount of meat and such you can get per animal was the other day. My pigs were all at the 6 meat I think and cows/sheep maybe were at 10. Do you recall how much you can get per animal when you slaughter? With the shop being so rare to sell certain animal supplies slaughtering them early might still be worth more profit than waiting around for the shop to get them in stock to only be able to buy 2-3 at once anyway as opposed to that medicine that's 3+ gold each.

At least the chickens don't get sick and a max level coop holds so much water and seed so I rarely have to worry about them :D Although the change in farming means I can't buy a ton of the cheap juniper seeds to make easy food for them. That must have been turned into a sapling too because the spare seeds I did have are also gone :( I need to find a new cheap seed to buy now I guess :P
