Not in Tutorial mode - no free rooms

I don't know if this is a bug, or an oversight, but when I played in tutorial mode, I basically got two free rooms upstairs.

I'm now playing without the tutorial, and the upstairs is going to be EXPENSIVE for even just my first room. I think that's a little odd. Shouldn't I at least get my first room free? My first however many new floor tiles with no gold charge?

If you play the game without the tutorial, the game compensates you with the materials to be able to create the 2 rooms as if you did the tutorial. The materials are already placed on the construction table.

Thank you for the reply. I did realize that about the supplies, but my point is the GOLD.

In tutorial mode, the gold to expand the floorspace is "given" to you, but if you play without the tutorial, you have to save up the gold to expand.

I just thought the imbalance should be noted, apologies if it seemed pesky.

What about the gold compensation as OP mentioned?

edit: well I certainly hope so bc i'm 20hrs in and still having a blast and I can def. see this having a bright future!
