Need an option to pause multiplayer games
This game is very nice, but i wish there was a vote for pausing multiplayer. If all players agree, i think it would be a very nice QOL improvement right now

Totally agree, have some kudos.
Agree, would definitely be helpful
Have you played games? At all? You know there is no pausing multiplayer games.
I also knew this was coming. The game used to pause often. Open a chest, and the game will pause while you dig around in the chest. Open a stove and the game will pause while you decide what to cook. All of that is gone.

I think the host should have the ability to pause. Don't pause every time the host hits Escape, but add a Pause button to the Escape menu. If you are playing with a bunch of strangers, just don't use it. But if you are playing with friends and you all want a bathroom break, then you should be able to pause.

I find this a lot with early access. Every game starts with a lot of potential. But then as the developers add functionality, they have to make design choices. Some I'll like, some I won't.. Eventually there are enough choices I don't like that I can't stand the game anymore. And paradoxically, it is worse when they listen to the community and do what they claim they want.

There are multiplayer games you can pause, especially games that are 'couch co-op' or only play with friends. You're the one that's lacking experience, not the op

i have played, plenty of mmos on the planet. A lot of multiplayer games competitive and the such, even csgo you can pause with votes to take a minute break. In the case of this game, i host a session and time flows, friends join me and we have fun. But at the end of the day a friend is hosting the session and not a massive multiplayer game where the world HAS to move forward. Very different multiplayer to the one you think about. With approved votes, we can all decide to go on a break without my character passing out at 3AM, take a leak without missing on the fun have a snack and carry on. Quite simple request, if nobody else wants to see a pause feature in this game. I am not bothered either way i thought it would be a great addition though.

But in games like this, there usually never is any pause in multiplayer, if there even is a multiplayer.
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't say no to it, but how often do you encounter a pause option in a multiplayer game like this?
I have played many MMO's and competetive games too and yes there are pauses you can vote for, but more than likely you cant pause multiplayer.

stardew valley is like this and you can pause through a command, i tend to use that often obscure but it works.
you can't save without going to bed, so being able to quick pause in the middle of a day is a good feature if you want to get the most out of your days in this game without having to cut the game in half by sleeping early if you get a phone call that is all, i understand multiplayer games cannot be paused, but a game that works in a day by day basis having a break in the middle without interrupting saving or progress is neat and just a nice QOL improvement for some, maybe not for others.

I can agree with that
Well, the host can pause the game in Stardew Valley through a /pause command in the chat. I don't see why this couldn't be done in this game.
