I play on PC and connect my setup to the living room TV using a long cable. The game supports dual controllers well, and I believe you shouldn’t have any issues if you can already connect two controllers to the Steam Deck for other games.
That said, Traveler’s Rest is really enjoyable in split-screen, and there’s so much to do that I actually prefer playing co-op with my wife rather than solo. If you decide to give it a try, keep in mind that there’s an option to enlarge the text in the settings (I sit pretty far from the TV, and honestly, this should be a mandatory feature in every game).
I hope others can confirm the compatibility with two controllers and that you’ll enjoy the game if you decide to play it! :D
