irrigation water system....your serious Devs? really?
ok ok i must find words for the irrigation water system...
WHY why don't you give us pipes that we can lay?
for example:
We build a Water tank that we fill with Water and the Water runs through the pipes to lawn sprinkler AND I can install the lawn sprinklers on the pipes where i need it.
THAT is a irrigation water system not that fail what you give us! That is only a sprinkler joke...
How many items of that must i build to give water to my plants?
On a 12x12 Field, i need 16 water irrigation systems to reach all plants with water.. and that is only 1 field! I have 3 Fields, so that are 48 better irrigation water systems and all, i must fill with water....at this moment, i have 30 buckets with water in my bag to fill them. And the better water irrigation system only give water to a 3x3 Field?
You want say me, that is better then the work with a watering can? :steamsalty:
Nooo noo say that is only a test plz.... dear Devs... come on that can you do better Devs...plllzz
And the Mats that i need for 48 irrigation water systems , we dont talk about it plz... that is not a good system...

I would at prefer if they just stuck using Stardew Valley system where we just build a system then it would water plant without any upkeep.

Then improve system just increase the radius
Yeah that will be okay too
I have 38 of the improved irrigation systems, and I carry 30 buckets. It takes three trips to the well to fill everything, and takes nearly as long as using the watering can. It does last twice as long as the watering can, but that was a lot of materials and crafting time to be able to skip every other watering day.

I suspect that after we are able to free the frozen miner we will get an iron watering can that will water a 3x3. That will be the next irrigation upgrade since it will be way better than this system.
I have to say this patch is just a bad joke.... so they worked on it for 3 months?!?!! Wow....
worst part of it is harvesting your plants - you accidently refill the irrigation systems. Well, it wont bother much if you run across with 30 buckets but it is still not like intendet.

and losing 1 tile bc of the irrigation system is not a good exchange aswell if you have a bigger field. My 15x15 field takes 15 irrigation systems, taking 15 plants away. That is not a small amount - even worse if you get a bigger field or more
I installed 127 of them.
The price of real copper has gone up very high.
I had a hard time getting copper in the game, too.
HAHAHAHA~
127 from the better crap system :steamhappy: OMG you have my sympathy :steamhappy:

Then i deinstall the Game hahahaha

i quit gathering copper a long time ago; at least there is a use now...
I buy copper and iron scrap from Bob whenever he has it. I haven't mined copper or iron for quite a while.
Agree with OP and others. the whole purpose of an irrigation system is so that you don't have to manually do anything to keep your crops watered. and the thing looks like it has some kind of windmill part, so that would make sense for a miniature wind powered well that automatically pulls water up from underground to water the fields. and instead of having the improved system last twice as long, have it cover more area.
The added decor is nice, but not worthy of being a 'major update'.
And come on, two hair styles that you have to buy with the wilson tokens?? woudl have been better served to open up a 'stylist/fashion' shop in the city that allows you to change hairstyle/clothing for a small fee.
I agree, the irrigation should not use water buckets anymore, considering how bloody expensive and time to make they are. and I lost so much space to plants. jsut not worth it imo.

then people well scream at him for copying for stardew sadly.. but yea ill be skipping this and keep with the water can.
I mean, technically they are using Stardew's system (the upkeep really isn't much a setback). the problem is more: In Stardew you don't need to grow as much, so a 3x3 watering area is fine-ish. the issue really is the materials and that you need a lot of some things at times.

So what it needs is not a complete overhaul, but finetuning, I'd say
I have always carried 30-50 water buckets, like since I started. I hate having to go get water when brewing... I don't see how that's a thing.

Oh, and I buy them all, too. I don't craft anything but small tables and aging barrels. I buy nigh everything always. Having to build these removes a lot of their luster...

From an efficiency perspective, these things suck.

From a chill and relax perspective, not so much.

I used to farm rows separated by a path, 9 long. I have like 20 of them. Watering can just walk between and water the 3 on each side. Pretty quick and easy to keep track of.

Now I farm in squares. I actually gain 2 tiles.... So for me it's fine. I fill it the same as watering but I do one quick bucket shot and run instead of 3, 3, walk...

I really wish they had made the better one longer. It isn't rocket science to cut a tree length on the rings and make a trough. Make them run 3, then 6 and then 9.

That would keep the system as they made it but allow for some efficiency for those that need it.

Even better would be an add on piece that has the troughs on it that you could just attach.

Grinding water... ?B)

Cheers..!
