the quest tab in your inventory actually showed the deadline, though

maybe next year?

Can't you technically change your computer's clock to trick it into being Halloween and complete the event? Not sure but plenty of other games work like that. I do it all the time for Terraria to hunt for treat bags.

what would be nice is that event should have the options to be toogle via options menu or something similar or free dlc that you can activate. Surely there is a way. maybe do a pole if people like the idea?

This game became less fun to me because it binds the special holiday stuff to the timing of RL holidays and it feels so phony and garbage. I want to experience seasonal events when the season comes IN GAME, regardless of what season it is in real life.

the dev said that this would be the case if you check is post on the 27 may if ii rememer right :)

I just tested to confirm, you can change your system date to play the holiday events again.

I didn't finish some of the Halloween event stuff and didn't stock up on enough of the items from that that I wanted before it officially ended, and when I launched the game just now it showed that the event was no longer active. But I reactivated it by setting my system date back to October 31, 2024. When I relaunched, the event was active again and I'm now continuing my progress toward getting all the spooky decorations and stuff.

To reactivate the Halloween 2024 event:
1. Close the game, right click the system clock (bottom right corner of desktop), choose "Adjust Date/Time"
2. Disable "Set Time Automatically"
3. Click the "Change" button under "Set the date and time manually" - set it to October 31, 2024, and click Okay
4. Relaunch Traveller's Rest and you'll be greeted with the Halloween event menu instead. You can now enjoy the event at your leisure.

Hope this helps someone. I assume this works for other seasonal events too, but I have not tested those personally yet myself.

EDIT: Don't forget to re-enable automatic date/time setting in your system clock after you're finished playing! Having an incorrect system date can cause issues in other games and programs so always change back to the correct system time (or re-enable automatic) when you're finished. :)
