Before I would usually stock a red, a white and a rose wine, a couple different hard liquors, and a few flavors of tea. I often had two or three different flavors each for red, white, and rose wine. Now I basically get one wine, one hard liquor, one tea, and then one additional drink.
Same and for me it takes the fun out of running a tavern!!!
I also agree. I used to fill up half the bar-book with different 'exotic' drinks. It doesn't make any sense to have up to 48 slots for different foods but only 8 for drinks. And why on earth does tea need to be aged? In fact, since it doesn't have alcohol, it would probably spoil. I think the bottom row of the bar-book should be for drinks. That would be a better balance of 36/20 rather than the existing 48/8.
Also running the bar alone is now just exhausting. New system of serving drinks to tables is good idea but it isn't easy to manage it. With different drinks in every tap / barrel you have eight colors and you have to run and check orders as there is no visible indicators on the bar, you need to check them every time. I like to do bartending by myself sometimes and now I just avoid it. It was much easier before, much more satisfying.
New icons for beers are nice but to me it was easier to read type of beer (and that it is the beer not some other alcohol as they all were just kegs) with the old ones. Now I'm confused if this is beer or not, what type of beer and I have to check them everytime.
BTW aging vodka is really weird idea.
As is aging gin, and tea and non-alcoholic eggnog. Both the tea and the non-alcoholic eggnog would spoil and develop mold in 2 days if left in the aging barrels. Possibly cider too.
These type of items need to be available in the bar book,
Tea and eggnog cannot be aged.
