Is this game similar to Graveyard Keeper?
I love the art style and would love to know if the game has a more "serious" tone like Graveyard keeper

I think this game is too early access to tell. The story is basically non-existent as far as I can tell, but to be fair I haven't played very far into the last two major updates. There are mentions of cultists, but that's it. This early into early access it could do anything with the tone by launch.

I am a bit confused by what tone you are actually looking for by your question. I'm guessing the quotes around 'serious' are being used like air quotes as Graveyard Keeper isn't serious at all, it's dark/gallows humor - very tongue-in-cheek (granted, I only played the base game as I found the mechanics grindy), but in print it's hard to tell for sure. I'd say Stardew Valley is much more actually serious as, beneath the happy veneer there is some major Peyton Place stuff going on (adultery, PTSD w/flashbacks, alcoholism, borderline stalking, parental neglect/abandonment, government mismanagement, drug use, etc).

Or, maybe I'm reading too much into your question. :steamfacepalm:

I'd say, maybe look into Cult of the Lamb. At this point, this is not the tone you are looking for.

Game does not knows what it wants to be. No, it has no similarities to Graveyard Keeper and leans towards generic farm.

Then check MachiaVillain. Tho it's main developer got eyes cancer so game is unfinished. Not a joke.

I love Graveyard Keeper, but I wouldn't compare it to Travellers Rest.

Try Sun Haven, Serin Fate, or Lobotomy Corporation if you enjoy macabre fantasy style.

I have a lot of hours in Sun Haven, I don't think it's quite what they are looking for either.

Honestly, the only closest thing to GK is just basically some UI similarities, the skill points (which will be removed in the future), and just the basic general sense of "familiarity" that this genre brings in general.
