buying meat
Since they removed meat from the mailbox it appears i can only buy 4 pieces of chicken meat a day from Hollys store. Before the update i was going through about 60 pieces a day. It also seems way more expensive. Unless im missing something here im not a fan of this change

You can now raise animals, talk to Buzz and you'll have the option to build a barn and chicken coops but the whole thing is expensive to get started but once you have them and the animals you have a constant supply for the most part.

i dont understand how this works. to get meat you'll have to kill the animal. so its way more expensive and it takes a lot of time to get meat from animals. am i missing something or this dosent worth at all?

I think the farming yield boosts you unlock with exp increase the amount of meat you get when you kill them and you can't buy the meat anymore so the farm animals are a long term thing.

There is a large start-up cost because of the cost of building the barn / henhouse, but once you have the buildings, if you get a forage table so you can make your own animal feed and raise an animal to max growth before slaughtering it, it is a better deal than buying meat.

at maximum stars cows gives 8 meat. pigs 6. but it takes 7 days i think. its just not enough. animals should reproduce.

well I guess Ill have to make a vegetarian menu because im way too busy to mess with farm animals. Its a shame they are forcing you down a one way path instead of letting you play the way you want to.

Raising animals is not worth it and unbalanced

So glad I'm not the only one making meatless dishes.
When I read that the animals can get sick I really didn't want to deal with that or killing off animals I had raised up. :( I don't mind keeping chickens for eggs or cows for milk, but I'd prefer to just buy the meat.

That's exactly what I don't understand. What was the developer's intention in removing purchaseable meat in the first place? Was it to be able to slaughter animals? Surprisingly, you can purchase fish.

You can still buy meat from holly... lamb beef chicken is what i have seen so far, but it changes and i had days where there was only one sort.

Btw it would be nice if someone could nail her to the counter so she does not run around all day long whenever i need something asap.
It is really getting on my nerves when that happens, an option to buy at the counter even if she is not behind it would also be ok for me :P.
