cant make my cat happy?

i have been playing for a few hours today and the heart on my cat keeps going lower and lower. Before today it has been full so im not sure what happened since i last played. i have a cat bed in 3 different rooms and two water bowls that i keep full and i pet it every day. sometimes it even hisses and has a little angry icon above its head.

It's a bug with the cat's bowl, if you see that it's full at night, save your game and reload, the point you lost will be recovered. In fact, just don't keep too many days without a reload.

I noticed that this issue came up after the bird update. The only fix I have(a temp one) is to exit game and reload

I found out its the light level in the tavern. if its too dark the cat gets upset so you just have to make sure there are enough candles/torches to light up your tavern.

the news is.. its a bug. no fix for it yet lol

Yeah I knew it was a bug. Just didnt know if they ever posted even an acknowledgment that its known or gonna be fixed soon.

don't pet the cat while it is walking around or sleeping. It gets mad at you. Only pet it when it is standing still.

No matter how many times in a day I pet the cat, the heart never fills more than 1/4 of the way, if that.

the cat won't get a full heart in one single day. does the cat have water and is it filled? i honestly didn't have any issues with the cat, i just put a pet bowl and bed in the same room as my bedroom, id fill the water first thing in the morning and pet the cat and then id refill the water if it needed at the end of the day. eventually, the cat heart filled all the way. it does go down after that, though, which is a bit annoying, so i have to water and pet the cat daily if i want to keep the heart completely full

I have pet is for several days and kept the water filled and the heart still looks empty.

Yes Lacy, I have both the water bowl (frequently filled) and the cat bed. There's been days that I pet the cat 5 or 6 times and the heart still won't fill more. Oh well. I guess I'll name him 'Grumpy Cat'. LOL
It is adorable that the cat will sometimes go lay on the cat bed though.

ah rip then >.< i wonder what's causing the bug? because it seems to only be effecting some people :/

Maybe keep trying? I do know it did take me quite a lot of in-game days to get it but I didn't pay attention to the heart.

And my cat Willow finally got happy and even has a little crown type thing over the heart.
