Don't over think it. The game doesn't have any traps.
I wasn't able to find full info about each action and skillpoints rewards, but came up with a method...
Yes, you need to perform actions, and each time you get results (collect crops from field, take cooked food or crafted furniture), you get skill points (jewels) flying to you. Tracking skillpoints before and after can give you precise number of points. But I had no patience for making database.
So perform everything you can at your stage in game, and simply watch if there will be a bunch of blue jewels flying to you. That will be your action to grind more precious skill points.
P.S. There will be more satisfaction, if you make your own little table for crafts and corresponding reward skillpoints.
Blue- I find it quite hilarious that the best way to level up is to make alcoholic beverages. Anything alcohol related will give you the blue gems. To level up mentally you gotta make alcohol. The irony.
Green- I make food. I am not sure if making food from stuff you've grown will give you more level ups or not.
Right now I have like 36 in red, 15 green, and I was only stuck on Blue cause I didn't know at the time alcohol was key. Blue was holding me back from a lot of stuff.
This link will take you to the fandom wiki, it gives you the information for points given for each skill used for mental.
