New Player tips
Put your tables in a horizontal line, not only does this make cleaning the dirt piles easier, because they only have 2 ways to walk, but it also allows you to walk in a single line and clean all the tables. It's MUCH faster and easier to manage than multiple vertical rows.

Stop making recipes that sound good to you. The game does not care if lemon pepper chicken tastes good, it only cares about the monetary value. So stock up on Pumpkins, chili's, lemon/limes, cherries and Melons. Yeah Roast beef with lemon pumpkin and chili sounds gross but it sells for 4 times as much.

The game does not tell you until you place your first chest in a crafting space, but ALL stations auto pull items from chests placed in said crafting area. Stop walking around with everything, just buy 3 small chests and 2 big ones. Use the small ones for the outside stations, and the two large ones for the kitchen. (One for food stuff and one for alcohol stuff, you will need two, there are too many items for just one large chest.)
Keep coal/fuel on you though, that is needed everywhere.

Too hot? Too cold, complaining all the time? One dusk sets (the lighting changes), you have one in game hour to turn on the fireplace. This is a buffer, during that hour, they will neither complain about it being too hot, and once it does get cold, the fire is already on. No more rep debuff.

You can pull beer early and put it in the book. Which means your employee's don't take 30 seconds to fill an order, makes a HUGE difference when you no longer run the bar, on how many people they can serve.

makes me paranoid to go outside or leave the room. good tips of course. i figured these all out by playing, but it would have been useful to have known beforehand.

I've been asking for a bouncer since release, and let us open multiple taverns!

There's a sound cue for a customer becoming rowdy (kind of a squeak). You can hear it from everywhere on the map, so just play with the volume loud enough to hear it clearly. If you hear the cue, head back to the main room and calm them down/kick them out.

That's fine, make less money.
It seems like you wasting time anyways, dredging up a 7 month old post. lol

And because this is such an old post from 3 updates ago, I might as well mention that the horizontal tables thing no longer works. You can only clean a table from a non-seated side, instead of anywhere around the table.
(Just didn't want any new person to see this very old post and think that was still a thing, everything else is still applicable.)

I was actually looking up information about the recipe book and I saw this. I didn't want anyone new to think that "The only way to play is my way to play".
If you have trouble making money in this game...you're doing something wrong, you do NOT have to min/max your recipes, and you min/maxing a casual game like this is so hilarious.

Hence it's a :shit: take.

Chili is no longer on the order list? So where do I find it?
Endora Dec 17, 2022 @ 5:45am
Every few days the orders list change. The best way to get something is buying the seeds and planting it.

When Mir.Caitlyn says order list they mean the list in the mailbox that you order seeds and things from, not the rotating random orders you get daily from the billboard.

Yes, that's what Endora means too. Only four types of fruit and vegetables are available from the mailbox "shop" at any given time. The selection is random and rotates every few days. If you want a specific fruit or vegetable, the fastest way to get it is to buy the corresponding seeds and plant them (make sure you have unlocked the relevant farming tech first). Otherwise you may need to wait quite some time for them to show up in the shop.

Exactly right. Sry if I wasn't clear myself, but Philtre did a very good explanation.
