How to make mortar?

Can anyone explain how to make mortar?
I'm trying to make more fermentation tanks and I need 3 mortar
but I cant figure out how to make it?

You need to unlock mixing tank(cant remember the exact name) from tech tree and put it next to stone craft. But boi get ready for daily stone grind coz you'll need some quite amount of stone to craft that extra fermentation tank ooof.

You need to be a certain level to get some more ''brewing supplies''
I think it's level 5/6 and then unlock it

Dont worry, in the time you need to fram stone its easier to build what you need. Everything you build with stones is a grind fest. Buying > farming

Make sure to build the stone piles, they're exponentially effective. Each pile reduces the stone needed for (block x 2) by 1, so the cost per block goes from 2:1 to 1:2 with 3 piles.

Two options:

1. Buy it from the mailbox - it's quite expensive.

2. Go into the tech tree (T by default), find the tech panel that unlocks it, purchase that tech. Craft it at one of the metalworking stations, I forget which one (the forge?)

I have a rep of 8 and I have most of tech unlocked. I'm only missing distillery to unlock. tank isn't craft-able
. Can only find in mailbox

I was playing with my buddy at his place and he's rep 11 and he had the vast majority of the tree unlocked and we had to buy it from the mailbox orders. It doesn't say "crafted at: (station)" like everything else does. Not sure if we both managed to miss it somehow in the tech tree but I think it was 5 gold or close to that to order the mixing tank.

I've got everything maxed and there's no way to craft the mixer. So no one missed anything. I was a bit confused why that one wasn't craftable when the rest are.
