auto wall run
is there any way i can put wall run on a button and get rid of this nonsense?
how can you have one of the core features of a platformer not be under the players control???

the amount of times ive not wall run when i wanted to, or accidentally wall run when i didnt is unbelievable. and this would all be solved by a simple button. there's even an unused face button on the default controller scheme. it could be optional to have auto wall run.

Design choices like this really make me wonder. Did they just see titanfall was fun and copy that even though this is a different kind of game? What kind of thought process ended up with this seeming like the right idea?

seriously, though, auto wall run is by far the standard. I don't understand why you would want there to be a button to hold while you're also pressing 4 other keys- what's the point in having a wall run button? I've always been able to do it. Perhaps you just don't know how to do it properly? Are you using a controller? I've never had issues with KB+M. Perhaps the detection isn't working properly if that's the case...

the point is so you can move parallel to a wall in the air without running on it if you don't want to. so you can have more precise control over your character and movement in a PLATFORMER.

Frankly the fact that you could see this as not useful is rather mind-blowing. It objectively gives you more control. Even if you find it too complicated to press one whole extra button, that's why it could easily be optional.

I dunno man. The thing about wallrunning is that it's already so incredibly easy. I'm not gonna start a flame war. If that's what you think, then perhaps they can add it in at some point.
