your form asks for way too much mandatory information. My problem is simple -- you cannot rebind keys to ESDF.
However, I am having another persistent issue: I can't strafe right in game, no matter what key that's bound to. Tried multiple bindings, and no matter what key I assign to strafe right, it won't work in game. The keybinding screen shows it as being successfully bound to my key of choice, but the char doesn't strafe right when the key is pressed in game.
I don't know why there's been such an explosion of devs in the past few years who cannot wrap their heads around keybinding. This is basic infrastructure stuff that should be done in ten minutes during initial engine setup at the very beginning of development. Any publicly licenseable engine has premade code for it either built-in or as a plugin. There's no excuse for it.
