Managing the black book and chorts

I didn't send out chorts so far. Now, I have the skill to send one on useless errands.
Found the useless errand on the map, but I don't know how to assign them.

1. Select Errand
2. Select Chort
3. ???
4. Profit

Am I missing a "Go" button for step 3 ? Is it a shortcut?

Managing the Black Book in the hut: I was under the impression that I should be able to get rid of cards (or take some fewer cards with me). The thing is, all I can do is browse the cards. Again, I think I'm missing something. Anybody got a link to a how-to/tutorial?

"Found" the mechanic of the black book: I can remove pages on the right hand and then have place to move from the left selection.

Still no clue about the chorts.

Little addition to this - you do have to be at home as well I think. Picked up the ability to assign to the useless job whilst out and about. But couldn't then assign one to it, remembered they said that it has to be at home as well. The 'Send' sign was missing otherwise.
