Half stairs issues

We can't make half stairs double wide like we can a full set of stairs.

Also with half stairs I want to make a landing and then have the stair continue as I am creating a staircase in the corner of my building but I can NOT figure out of to get this to work. I have tried many things and the application indicates I can place my stairs on the landing but it will not do it and it deletes my landing.

Wish we could just resize stairs. Love the software.

I rebooted my PC and got it all to work.
