Out with the Old (Career Mode), In with the Cozy!

We’re excited for our upgraded "Career" mode, it's on its way! To make room for this exciting update, we've taken out the old Career Mode in the latest update. But don’t worry—you can still enjoy the old Career Mode by accessing it through our beta branch, "Hometopia Old Career Mode."

If you'd like to revisit the old Career Mode, just follow these simple steps:

1. Right-click Hometopia in your Steam library
2. Select Properties
3. Go to Betas
4. Choose "Hometopia Old Career Mode" from the dropdown menu

While you wait for the new Career Mode, why not explore the latest improvements to Sandbox mode? We’re cooking up some amazing updates for the rest of 2024, and we can’t wait to share them with you. Get ready for an exciting year in Hometopia!

The camera was temporarily removed so that we could improve it. In the mean time you can use the Screenshot system built into steam or use Windows Key + Shift + S

I hope that helps a bit while we are working on improving the game.

Hi, I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but I just tried the career mode and it gets stuck at installing a door on the side of the studio. When I get to that part, the subheadings for doors show - exterior, interior and garage - but there is no catalogue for any of the doors in order for me to pick one. I have tried restarting, clicking like a loon all over the screen, but i can't work out why the doors aren't showing in order for me to move on with career mode. Please help!
