playing online with remote play

is there other ways beside LAN/Hamachi to play multiplayer? I bought the game for a friend and even though steam recomends creting a room or remote playing, we can't play together

If one of you guys has a public IP address, you can try to connect with it. Or Hamachi and/or other virtual LAN might be the easiest way to have an online game - there ARE some other ways but they request a third-party software, which, regretably, I only have chinese version.

You can have a try with the “remote play together” function of steam - basically sharing your screen with other players, which demands a good connection status. If you choose this method, run the freeplay mode instead of online multiplayer, you can add the human players by clicking the COM/Player tags on the character selection screen.
However, there's no other method to run an online match without a third-party software unless you have public IP address.
