Landmines and animals and kabooms, oh my..

So I am supposed to gather some landmines for the sawmill brother mission, which teaches you how to chop down wood.. But I couldn't find any, all I could find was 30-40 chunks of meat lying around. Is it possible that animals have run over all of them while I was playing? Are there any other ways of getting landmines, maybe crafting them much later in the game or something?

This should not be possible. The minefield is quite extensive and there are no hordes in our game :)
You can buy mines at Sophia's but I'm not sure at the moment but I think the quest wiil accept bought ones, so you don't have to face our infamous mine disarming mini-game.
But I would suggest a different approach: give me your savefile and I will restore the minefield for you.

Ahaa, I wasn't aware they restocked landmines in the shop, they are quite expensive even while being friends, but glad there is a way to get them even after the minefield is empty.
