Do sheep actually need feeding?
I've had three sheep for a few months now, the feeder went empty at some point and they're all still 100% fat "not hungry yet" in the middle of January.

Two of them are in pens, one is wandering around, non of them seem to be bothered about food.

They do have a habit of dropping dead every time I try to pick up the dung they insist on sleeping ontop of.

Wow, this is weird. We'll take a closer look at them. Thank you.

After enough time they got hungry, maybe they were eating from the cow's feeder in the pen, in the other barn, on the other side of the farm, somehow?

Yes. This is what we think happened. The found another source and used it "magically".
