You’re misreading/misunderstanding what the devs said.
They said they REMOVED an exploit where people would build the beehives in summer, it would load with honey to be collected, then they’d tear down the hive and rebuild… and the bees would instantly refill it with honey again. Rinse, repeat, and collect dozens if not hundreds of honey in minutes.
So yeah, you don’t have to tear down hives mandatorily (like you’re thinking)… just that those who used to exploit that honey trick can no longer do so!
