how to dry cut grass for hay and where

I am trying to dry the grass for hay but I do not know if I should collect it somewhere and move it to the barn? Someone will suggest

As far as I have come, hay is a product when producing oats/wheat etc. !?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is no way to simply dry it.

You don't need to dry cut grass. It instantly becomes hay when it's spawned by cutting the fresh grass. Yes, we know, it doesn't work like that. There should be haystacks, rain should make them wet and rotten. We decided to make a shortcut here.

I think things changed now. just bought game last week and I bought one of the tipi hut looking thing(dry rack?) and use a pitchfork to take cut grass from floor and press space bar on the dry rack. after 48 hr's it becomes dry grass. you get hay from cutting oats/wheat and using mashing stick to separate seeds and left over is hay.
