Outhouse

It's impossible for me to build both Kazimir and sawmill outhouses. I spoke to the mayor, I have a hammer and planks in my inventory. I found the ghosts/blueprints of the outhouses but when I try to interact with it with the hammer, like in the tutorial, nothing happen...

Am I doing something wrong ?

If you have already purchased the ability to build on your land, you will need to press B to open the build menu and choose the outhouse and place it. Then you will be able to use the hammer.

You only have to buy permissions to build if it's not quest related. For yourself for example.
The quest related building tasks require you to approach a "ghost" of the required building, open build menu, select the building and place the frame when it's green. Then you use your hammer to complete it.

Thank you for your answer. If I may, the tutorial felt very misleading regarding the building process. I played various games in which you have to go through a menu to place a ghost etc... But since :
- these steps arn't required to build in the tutorial
- the quest log only say "just need a hammer and planks"
- unlike many games there already are ghosts

It really didn't cross my mind I had to process through a menu to add something to the already placed ghosts.

Anyway that's just my oppinion. Good day to you and thanks again for answering.
