I have the same issue with my 7 hens where they have not make one eggs for several days even when they have a lot of food and they eating food each day.
Everyone knows the animal need food but the other stuff should be written someplace then we know.
The cow should not loose their milk if we do not milk them before 08.00 in the morning and they should also find the way in to the barn the same way the hens doing.
I play the demo who works fine and buy the game and the tutorial freezing the first night i went to bed so i restart the game without any tutorial and those error pop up all day long where they even follow me to the main menu and they stack numbers.
By the way i have a issue to close and open the door to my house from time to time because i can`t interact with my doors.
I agree the game could use more instructions. In real life cows do need to be milked early in the morning, I guess they are trying for realism. :D
The worst of this game are the quests, they are pretty broken.
Cows. Cows are the worst. It's the one quest I have yet to finish. The general store keeper Sophie gives you a quest that requires Kasimir to buy a cow, and milk it 8 times. The cow will only ever be milkable once, I've read reports that others have gotten it twice, and another once a year. Either way it's not good enough. The cow will always give birth after the first milking, the calves grow up and they will only give milk once too. I've read a report that the cows must be put in the stalls overnight. That- is impossible. I can lock them in the stable, but I've only managed to get the horse in a stall once, and it broke out. When time is of the essence that's annoying as hell. Also I made the mistake on an earlier save of buying the cow before accepting the quest of buying a cow. This resulted in me having to buy another, which resulted in- my first cow disappearing, her calf is still there, and then when cow #2's own calf was half grown, a new pig shows up on my lot, so now I have two pigs and three cows.
Farmer Ann's quests are pretty awkward too, first you have to plant carrots, harvest them, and then after delivery your next quest is to get a scythe, which is necessary to plant anything in the first place. All quests are like that save for the one requiring you to cut planks, if you already have an axe, that's the one case you don't have to buy another.
The other really broken quest is the one where you have to buy a distillery. If you don't buy one before accepting the quest, the quest becomes broken. And yes, once you accept, you still have to buy another.
Hauling logs- Kasimir will float up into the air like he's a kite on a string.
Grooming brush- Why does it work on chickens? WHO BRUSHES CHICKENS?
Fluffy- Pretty useless animal that eats waaaay too fast, to the point Kasimir is better off letting him live in a permanent state of starvation.
Horse and the cart- Kasimir always climbs up on the cart and faces backwards. Hitching the horse to the cart is always like preforming a ballet for the demented, and fast travelling with the horse and cart always faces it jack-knifed and sideways to where it wants to go.
Hunting- I've had a deer I've shot dead get up and bounce off. Also the bear weight ratio is ridiculous, a 100kg bear looses no weight after gutting onsite, so needs a cart, a tractor, or a bicycle with downhill slopes to get it home for processing, and after that is left with a mere 5kg fur, and only 31kg of meat. So that's 64kg in that bear of supposed unusable fat and offal? Yeah that needs fixing.
Traps- I haven't found no use for them. I've read reports from other players in tips and even rabbit catching, yet nothing's worked. Surely that can use a tweak.
Cut grass- it's a necessary feature in order to plant crops, but so much is produced from a tiny space, the animals never get through it all and it takes up too much of your inventory with too little grass to be able justify wasting the time to go to the market and sell it. I suggest we get a haystack to keep loose grass in while it dries, and give Kasimir the ability to bail it.
Crops- we really need to have the ability to reap seeds from crops.
Lastly- the tractor. It really isn't useful. It's difficult to drive, easily broken, and won't hitch to the yellow trailer, so I ignore it and stick to the horse and bicycle.
Extra note: Kasimir needs better access to shallow water to for fetching exploded fishies :)
Thank you!
Don't try to get the animals to follow you into the pens, it doesn't work. Use "E" to lead the animal, then look at the door of the pen and select "take animal in". The animal will go in automatically. When you want to let them out, look at the door of the pen and select "take animal out". There could definitely be a better in-game explanation of this...
For any quest that asks you to buy a tool, if you already own the tool just put it into a container (the box in the barn or the chest in the bedroom) and take it out again.
Thanks for the tip mate, will give that a go :)
There were no bugs in the game, but no save game is playable. First of all, the game runs with admin rights and the game files have been checked.
Here is the list of bugs (for save games) - probably more:
- Kasimir's yard is actually clean. Now all the rubbish is lying around again
- No interaction with the cow using the radial menu - so no milk
- All fast travel destinations and discovered bunkers are gone again
- No possibility to interact with the NPCs with E
- the bike has disappeared
- Grass that was cut to create a field is back
- Fields (e.g. fertility was only 75%) are no longer available
- FOV setting 65% is not saved - is always at 100% when starting the game
- Quick assignment 1-4 is not saved
- If I load a game that I have saved in the shop on the market, the shop is empty (no saleswoman) and the door is locked.
- Journal is completely empty.
The game is currently not playable.
I basically get wet before i had drink the water and sick right after from my house to the water well on a nice dry day.
