Quest: My First Moonshine
Can someone tell me how to complete this quest? I made the Potato Mash. I have a green check mark showing that the game accepted the Potato Mash as moonshine. I returned to the quest giver and she is not completing the quest. The quest isn't telling me what to do next either. Stuck and frustrated, but still having fun in the game.

you need the destilary and destil this mesh to get moonshine. you need empty bottles to fill them with your moonshine.

DONT ACCEPT THE QUEST BEFORE YOU BUY THE DESTILARY BUY FIRST THE DESTILARY AND AFTER ACCEPT THE QUEST FIRST AND AFTER MAKE POTATO SMASH

As far as I can tell, if you accept the moonshine quest before buying a still, it will get stuck in the way you have experienced and I haven't found a way to get it to restart again. Fortunately it is not a very important quest, so you can just ignore it until it gets patched.

When you talk to the lady at Thaddeus' farm and take the quest to make moonshine, she gives you the recipe for potato mash. Be sure not to accept the quest until you have bought a still, because otherwise it bugs out.

Having this issue too; glad to see it's not just me and it's not an important quest anyway. Is there a way to get to recipes for the other mashes she sells (like apple?) I'm hoping that's not a later part of the quest chain.

Unfortunately I think Helena's quest is the one that gives you apple mash too, but you get some of the other mash recipes from other quests, like Ann the vegetable seller and I think also Henry the town drunk.

Ugh, that sucks since apples are the thing I get like 120 of for free every year. Hopefully they fix that in a later patch. Yeah, I got the oat and blueberry mash recipes from other quest givers, I think.

It's in fact 160 apples from your own farm per year also you can collect 160 apples from Thadious farm every year so that's a total of 320 apples per year just thoght you should know this as it will help.

Thanks. They said on DIscord that they've tracked the issue down with this quest, so I suspect there will be a fix for it soon.

I got the distillery and was able to make the moonshine. I'm not sure now if the quest was bugged or that I didn't understand that the potato mash is NOT the moonshine. I didn't know what mash was other than a food with potato and gravy.

Potato mash is boiled potatoes, butter, milk and salt mashed together...

I think ther is a laungage problem here, beacuse you use them both in traditional cooking and vodka production...:lunar2019coolpig:

"Mash" is also (in real life) a generic term for cooked starchy foodstuffs used for alcohol production, so mash made of potatoes would be potato mash. The game also has oat mash, apple mash, etc.

In American English, at least, there's not much scope for confusion, since the potato/butter/milk concoction is always called "mashed potatoes" and not "potato mash". British English I believe prefers the latter term...
