If you love the police uniform so much, you should get contextual clues by Jon, that maybe you should think about switching outfits. I hadnt had the problem at that point, but another person in here had. They also were stuck on switching to an outfit, that the people in front of the gate liked enough to talk to you. That outfit can be the default Sherlock outfit, because it makes you look like another (british) cordona citizen.
