Sherlock Holmes Chapter One

Sherlock Holmes Chapter One

Not a big fan of new look
I didn't like the new look of our belowed Sherlock. I know he is very young here and all. But he looks so... innocent, I guess? And handsome.

There is almost no resemblance between young and old Sherlock. I think he needs sharper features, a longer chin, an aquiline nose etc.

Just a humble feedback...

I think the design looks OK, it could be better,
don't know about Jonathan, had people haircuts like this back then?
I would also be ok with it, when they give you an opportunity to choose between a more classic Holmes and a modern one at the beginning of the game.
Everything else sounds pretty exciting so far.
It's still a long time until the game releases, they probably are going to change some things,
we also have to see how the characters would actually look in the game, because the Trailer was just an in-engine rendered Cinematic.
Why handsome sherlock is a problem honestly? He's still young and just starting out, and might be slowly turning his look to hobo like one lol
''brave'' straight bois are too fragile to handle handsome/attractive male characters lol

It's not handsome Sherlock. It's 'Sherlock" dressed in all black, with a skinny tie, a silver chain, eye shadow, and spiked hair. This image -- which they are proud of enough somehow to post prominently on the Steam store page! -- is just so ludicrous that it looks like some kind of April fool's joke:

Handsome Sherlock is not a problem. He could have sharper features, an aquiline nose and still looks handsome, right? My problem is, he is not looking like Sherlock at all.

I didn't like the appearance of Sherlock in Devil's Daughter, too. But it was somewhat acceptable. But this one... I don't like it a bit. I mean, look at the screenshot that Mr. Lambert shared. He's more like a young Jude Law.

Anyway, that's only my friendly opinion. No offence. As they said, tastes differ.

The problem is that the look doesn't really fit in with Victorian era London. They look out of place. I hope they adjust them to be more in line with that era's style.
in devil's daughter he was a hollywood actor, now he looks straight out of one of those japanese weird cartoons...

My favorite Sherlock look was the one in Testament/Crimes & Punishments. They could have made a younger version of that one.

Yeah, same here. Those were great. And as indieWOLF said, new Sherlock doesn't fit in Victorian era. I totally agree with that.
Not just his looks, the whole idea of Sherlock Holmes on a wild adventure on an "exotic, dangerous island in the Mediterranean" is stupid. It's looking like they in reality made a new IP with a new lead character and then just slapped on the name "Sherlock Holmes" hoping name recognition would boost sales.

why? he's multilingual, a skilled fighter and boxer, most likely speaks french and german, probably tibetan and norwegian since he traveled there under the assumed name "sigerson" after his supposed death - studying, mountaineering, chilling with a lama. i doubt it was his first time around the block considering how far reaching his regional knowledge often is. but such a strong opinion you have there, i'm sure you have a good reason?

ah yes, they shanghaied the blockbuster sherlock holmes IP, well known from the.. 150 year old books, and the movie from 10 years ago with the canceled sequel. that'll really reel in the ~gamer~ segment, you've cracked the case.

frogwares have always hewn fairly close to the source material, and they obviously love the stories. (you have read them of course.. right?) this looks like a chance to take more liberties with a character they love.

My problem with this new Sherlock is that he looks like a character from one of those porn games (for example). Really tasteless art direction and not fitting for Sherlock Holmes at all (unless it's gonna be a porn game).

A: forcing your hypocracy is annoying
B: He looks like a generic pretty boy that just got out of a MCR concert.
C: it does not fit the late 19th centuary
He looks very anacronistic. Even his clothing looks like a modern "steampunk" cosplay than actual 19th century clothing.

Sherlock Holmes is not one to want to stand out, the way he dresses in this he would be the talk of everywhere he would go.
I honestly dont understand why every damn IP feels it necesarry to have a "young whatever".
And when they even get the look completely wrong (clothing etc like mentioned above me) and how the character look, its a big yikes from me.
