don't know about Jonathan, had people haircuts like this back then?
I would also be ok with it, when they give you an opportunity to choose between a more classic Holmes and a modern one at the beginning of the game.
Everything else sounds pretty exciting so far.
It's still a long time until the game releases, they probably are going to change some things,
we also have to see how the characters would actually look in the game, because the Trailer was just an in-engine rendered Cinematic.
It's not handsome Sherlock. It's 'Sherlock" dressed in all black, with a skinny tie, a silver chain, eye shadow, and spiked hair. This image -- which they are proud of enough somehow to post prominently on the Steam store page! -- is just so ludicrous that it looks like some kind of April fool's joke:

I didn't like the appearance of Sherlock in Devil's Daughter, too. But it was somewhat acceptable. But this one... I don't like it a bit. I mean, look at the screenshot that Mr. Lambert shared. He's more like a young Jude Law.
Anyway, that's only my friendly opinion. No offence. As they said, tastes differ.
ah yes, they shanghaied the blockbuster sherlock holmes IP, well known from the.. 150 year old books, and the movie from 10 years ago with the canceled sequel. that'll really reel in the ~gamer~ segment, you've cracked the case.
frogwares have always hewn fairly close to the source material, and they obviously love the stories. (you have read them of course.. right?) this looks like a chance to take more liberties with a character they love.
B: He looks like a generic pretty boy that just got out of a MCR concert.
C: it does not fit the late 19th centuary
Sherlock Holmes is not one to want to stand out, the way he dresses in this he would be the talk of everywhere he would go.
And when they even get the look completely wrong (clothing etc like mentioned above me) and how the character look, its a big yikes from me.
