I found it very difficult to determine where my choices would lead and I felt as if I had little control over the protagonist's personality. It seemed that no matter what I did they would complain about being a vampire and then I'd get a bad ending because I didn't want to renounce vampirism. Seems like you have to play a nice character no matter what.

It's a fun vampire game. I like the Vampire Masquerade series so I thought I'd play this too. This is fun with a lot of different characters, an engaging story, likeable hero, interesting characters, story, lots of CG's, backgrounds, outfits for the characters, nice music, and amazing voice acting. I won't spoil anything but this is more of a conventional morality based game than I usually play because I prefer games that are morally gray with highly complex characters but these characters are distinct, realistic, interesting, well designed, excellent VA's and overall extremely likeable. The story and writing were interesting enough to keep me interested. I think it's a great game and worth the money.

This game feels like it's just Christian propaganda. The only way to get "good" endings is to become a Christian and all the writing around that was very heavy handed. Also the game made all the alternative people "less moral".

Twice Reborn is a Vampiric visual novel in which players take on the role of teaching assistant and newly-turned vampire, Mark Delaware. Choices matter as Mark navigates this dangerous and mysterious new world.

Twice Reborn lacks a bit of polish but overall is a good example of a visual novel with a pleasing aesthetic, fitting soundtrack, twisting narrative and difficult choices. The characters are diverse and distinct and the many possible paths and endings mean that there is a heap of replayability. Being a visual novel, Twice Reborn won’t appeal to everybody but I’d absolutely recommend it to fans of the genre and those who like a good vampire story.

Multiple different endings for an interactive story. Think of the old "choose you own adventure" books. It's a fairly standard Vampire trope but set in modern times. It also has a fast forward option so after you read through the text you can skip it in the next play through and only make the decisions that drive the story forward.

Wow, Twice Reborn is definitely a visual novel that stands out from the crowd! I've only played about 3 hours, but it just flew by while playing this game! This is a good casual game if you’re wanting to see where the story flows based on your choices. And, yes, choices definitely matter in this game. I’m in my 4th play through now and my different choices have put it on a different path than my previous rounds. Even though I died during my first run, it just made me want to explore all the other possibilities! The game provides you with 72 save slots which is essential for this type of game.
Though for anyone looking for a vampire dating game, this isn’t it. While there are romantic interests in the game, it’s not the primary focus in this game. It’d be more accurate to say that the focus is on interpersonal relationships established and maintained as you progress through the story. I found this to be a lot more interesting and enjoyable. There’s even a display you can look at to see how good or bad of a relationship you have with various people and organizations.
Characters are all voiced, which is pretty nice. And I really like the different types of characters I’ve met so far and their design. They have various poses and expressions that they take and transitioning between them looks seamless. The music here has a pretty wide range of styles that includes jazz, rock, alternative, and classical. The variety of music makes sense though since this takes place in a college town and is used pretty effectively to set the tone for the scene.
I had a lot of fun playing so far and I highly recommend it!

Twice Reborn is a visual novel with some branching path decisions points, where the reader can potentially change the story or simply end up in a "dead-end". The story is set in Colorado, primarily at a Catholic University. The area is filled with vampires, and the protagonist slowly discovers that there are sects of vampires and that he has been chosen to join, or become a blood donor, or end up dead.

There aren't a lot of options for Twice Reborn; music, sound, and voice volumes can be adjusted. The background music upon starting is absurdly loud. There are options for message text speed and windowed or full screen. Twice Reborn doesn't really have any controls other than mouse clicks to continue to the next text segments or dialog selection. The graphics are worth mentioning; all of it is reminiscent of hand drawn sketch work with some Photoshopping. Most of the scenes and characters are fairly well detailed.

Twice Reborn is not a dynamic or live action style of visual novel, it is a collection of static scenes and character poses. There is no animation to speak of, although characters bounce or slide across the screen for effect at times. The voice acting is a bit rough, some characters sound realistic, while others are laughable stereotypes. Most of the novel is text messages that must be read, rather than voice acted. Some of the writing is unnecessary fluff, descriptions of a scene that doesn't need a description, etc.

The branching of the story feels very directed at times, and in some locations where several options are presented, it makes little difference which option is selected. In other words, on certain decision paths, all roads lead to Rome once a critical point is reached. Trying some branches can lead to an abrupt dead-end, where the protagonist meets an early demise. Playing through the story to the end will likely take a few hours, although there are multiple "normal endings", which can extend the overall time saving and reloading to see where things go with different branches. The endings feel like an abrupt end to the story; sort of like a long, long introduction to the cast of characters, very short mystery, and quick resolution. Twice Reborn as a campy vampire story will not appeal to many players; however, it is recommended, but on sale as it's replay value is quite limited

There are far more choices and potential ends than most of the visual novels I've played. There is no way I've found them all yet. The first time I played, I died within minutes. lol. Yes, you can die in this visual novel, and in multiple ways. It is interesting and has unusually high replay value.

I have not finished the visual novel, But I can say it is beautifully written. The soundtrack is amazing got me jamming and bobbing my head to the songs. I love the fact that this visual novel have multiple endings and paths. The stats looking at what relationship or path your close to take is genius, I'm enjoying this and can't wait to continue this well written visual novel. If you love visual novels as much as I do you should give this one a try.

My only real gripe with the game is that I wished it came with a bit of a trigger warning. As the game can throw things at you with no warning. However, even without the warning you can tell that a lot of love and hard work went into this game. There are so many wonderful things to say about this game.
Here are a few of them:
-It's mostly voice!
-The ost has a lot of bangers in it
-The characters are amazing. Like seriously I was sad for Belmonte when I learn that Mrs. Violet had died
-Different Language selections
-You are able to see what the different endings are

If you are a fan of visual novels and vampires: I say give this game a chance!
