XBox controller problem how to ?

Hi,

I can't figure out how to change the lenght of a line with an Xbox controller. When using the controller we can't use the keyboard. In add, in the help menu, the controller commands are not in english...

How do you access the pole to actually fish? All I can do is move.

One other annoyance is that you have to either use mouse/keyboard OR controller. You cannot use the controller and the keyboard. I do this for a lot of games where I use the controller for moving, looking around, etc. but the mouse/keyboard for other things (like shooting in a hunting game, etc.)

the start button gives you a shortcut to many options, cycle with lb rb

the first one should be your gear sets, use the left thumb stick to hover over the cursor on a set then a to equip/unequip

The controller support defo needs work especially the 1st one..The 1st one has keyboard & controller icons onscreen on the 2nd sometimes the controller doesn't even work. Tbh im slowly playing this if not fixed asap I will defo get a refund regardless if they fix it later.. & later lol I defo wont buy it.too late.

Are you able to change retrieval speed with controller? Couldnt figure out how to do that other than barely gold the left trigger down

Good to know was about to plug in with a controller, does it have vibration settings? Or no if not I will just wait to plug in.

It does have vibration on/off settings; and while I enjoy using a controller for these games(to relax in a chair with my hands resting in my lap), the controller usage in this game is 'clunky' to say the least.

Aswell, I can't figure out how to real in slower, despite my reel speed being set to 10-15%, it just maxes out immediately. Maybe it's because the sensitivity for that trigger isn't set right by the devs, so it just goes to 'full speed' no matter how you pull in the trigger.

With the Xbox controller (I have it wired) I have vibration for bites, jumps and when tension is at the limit, it was on by default in settings

Okay, thanks for the answers. Will try it at least even though it seems to be clunky. This is one stile that controller is nice for the games, hope it is looked into quick for everyone.

For me half trigger is 50% speed, but it's very sensitive thou and took a while to get into the sweet spot, so as a workaround I just use the stop and go retrieve method, it works great on soft lures especially

Yeah, I've definitely been using the stop/go method and have had a lot of success with it; I'll have to try squeezing the trigger less, as it wasn't really apparent to have been making much of a difference; hopefully they adjust the sensitivity so it's more precise.
