It turns out to get them warmer you buy more heaters and sacrifice more space for heating, which in hotelier terms is financial suicide so thankfully I never even thought about it.
There didnt seem to be any way of upgrading the boiler in my game and the better heating system just seemed to be more expensive without any performance improvement. I dont know if this means we are to assume that three crap yet much cheaper to run heaters are going to be better than one allegedly good one.
As far as the food was concerned, I just went for menus with mainly cheap options and two really good ones for each buffet, and this seemed to keep them all pretty happy. Ignored the upgrades to grand buffet to see how that impacted in one dining room and it made absolutely no difference. It is funny I have never seen anyone complain about the cost of Julia, nobody wants to spend more time than they need to on the food game. The idea that microwaved food is desirable in any way kind of killed off my interest in what had initially looked interesting for a minute.
