Heating in Winterberry

Hello! Really loving this game, thank you for creating it! ^__^ I am wondering about the heating dynamic in Winterberry. I just started my initial building in one of the cabins and find that I need a whopping FOUR of "Grandma's old heaters" to meet the minimum heat requirements of any guest who tries to book rooms there. Putting four of them in the building makes it slightly warmer than my guests want, but putting three in results in the temp being a few degrees too low.

Is this... how it's supposed to be? I don't see a way to adjust the heat each heater puts out (to tweak it down a few degrees, for example). Also the massive amount of negative decoration score that results from 3-4 heaters in one room causes my prestige to be -15. :/ Am I doing something wrong here? I am already super low on valuables and no amount of adding art to the walls can make up for this huge decor debuff. HALP!

so JUST a regular 2 slots chest that reduces your "quality" by what? 15?... WOW... that is not only useless, its horrible...

You can have guests in Winterberry with 15°. You just don't get a good rating.

You can have guests in Winterberry with 15°. You just don't get a good rating.

yeah i know... but as i wrote we have only ever had 5stars everywhere so we prefer to wait for a proper solution :)

I had a mix of different grades of heaters at Winterberry. I found the lv.3 one didn't heat enough, so I added a lv.1 or lv.2 in addition... or perhaps only two lv.2's? A bit later I bit the bullet and had it automatically taken care of by Jax, but again with a mix of levels of heaters.

I couldn't be bothered to figure out efficiencies. I just dumped firewood as often as convenient.

Yeah that's what I do now. I make sure the level 3 one is always going, and I have a level 1 heater to supplement, but if that one goes it's only a little bit so you don't get too much money taken off. Still, I do wish the level 3s were enough.

Having this same issue, I don't think it's been patched yet. Currently unable to progress and the Shark doesn't show up in Pinefall as a result of not being able to complete this part of Winterberry.

Yup, I agree, heating's a little overtuned. We're adjusting it in the next patch, especially curving the Winterberry temps and buffing the early heaters + making Jax a little less greedy.

Hi, is this going to be fixed anytime soon? Just got the game a week ago and loving it but it's extremely difficult to get the temp up to what guests want!

I personally gave up on waiting many months ago and managed to push through and finish the game without investing much in the cold regions...

By focusing on heating a lot and making sure everything was perfect for the few "manual" guests i had, i kept my 5 stars rating everywhere but after doing the minimum required quests for that region that hotel was permanently closed ;)
