There are new items available at pawn shark.... no? Also guest room issues

I am a bit confused about the two things mentioned above:
I often get pop ups that tell me that there are new items available at the pawn shark and when I go to check there is.... nothing?
Also some guests tell me that the "entire resort is kinda cheap...." when the room meets, most of the time even exceeds their expectations... So how is it ♥♥♥♥♥♥ when it's even better than what they want?

The Pawn Shop notices are a little broken right now. You get the notice even when you are given a recipe that you automatically learn by completing a quest (Yet nothing shows up in store) you get that notice again, just because you were given them directly as a quest reward. As far as cheap goes I think the "cost" of the furniture starts to matter, not just that the other stats are up to their needs. You can see the "cost" of a piece by looking at it in your inventory, it will show a coin value.

I could be wrong on that last one, but it's all I can figure.
