Old Furniture - So I can't sell this stuff, but what about additional gameplay?

I'm new to this game, absolutely love it! I've run into the "I've got boat loads of old furniture, what do I do with it?" issue. So I started reading and I see you just have to delete it, selling it could impact the games economy, which I totally get. However, that got me thinking.
So we've got certain characters whose lives are centered around scrap and junk(didn't want to get specific as I don't want to spoil anything for new players), would it be possible to implement some sort of reputation mechanic? Like, could we offer our old furniture and slowly gain reputation so that the scrap available to us increases slightly? Or even gives us more of certain scrap?
I don't know, it just feels terrible deleting all this furniture when it could be used to create additional gameplay. :) Just a thought I wanted to share!

Another suggestion: Perhaps instead of discarding the lower level furnitures in the bin, we can have the option to break down into crafting items and reuse for furniture upgrade. As for the extra crafting items, it would be great to have options to sell it for gold or valuable items.

I agree with Sepet- being able to break it down into crafting materials (probably less than what you used to build it) would be great

Agreed! Just started playing today and when I went to upgrade old furniture, I immediately started looking around for how to scrap the old furniture for parts. When I couldn't see any way of doing this in game, I came here for guidance. To my surprise, I'm finding I have to discard it?? Really? Why not reuse it? Especially since we're going around collecting materials and breaking things down already to craft things. I hope the devs take this into account for the future!

You can recycle some but not all. I would like to be able to turn the lower level stuff into rotten apples as I struggle to find enough to buy things.
