Not much. HS2 really didn't improve over the core of the game. The animal Ai has "improved" and you have nicer graphics and that's just about it. You also have a dog in HS2.

The first game had dynamic weather and clouds. More items and features. You got animal feedback showing sight, smell and hearing. You had drones and snow maps and many more maps. It had night time hunting with night vision goggles.

The gunplay, scopes and character animation are the same as the first game. HS2, weapons and ammo have no stats just like in the first game. You can't change zoom levels with the scopes just like in the first game.

I think the core hunting experience is just like the first game but feels slower in the second game because you find like 1 animal for every hour it seems.

The maps in HS2 are better to hunt in but feel empty in certain areas which is fine for a hunting game but in this it feels like a waste of time. In the first game, in whatever direction you went in, their was always something to shoot. You'd always find something to shoot in whichever direction you walk in. HS2 just feels like it has empty areas.

Who knows what the future will bring to this title but I've already stopped playing it.

So basically if I get Hunting Sim 1 which is on special I can make a assumption on what to expect on Hunting Sim 2 seeing as barley nothing changed at all?

If you want a good hunting game, pick up theHunter: Call of the Wild. It's far, far better.

Yes but HS1 has really rough graphics.

How? Nicer graphics and a dog? HS1 had better features and more maps. The maps were more populated with animals. The gun mechanics of HS1 is the same as HS2.

i like HS2 as a contrast to CoTW. I find the animal population so far exactly right to get a Hunting feeling more would be to much imo. Its so far in that case exactly like CoTW ( but i only have played the Czech Map so far)
So far Flushing out Pheasant makes fun also tracking woundet Bears and Wolves.
HS2 biggest issue so far IMO are that the Devs have forgotten so much QoL Features.
