Hunting for rabbits and hares.

Hello to all.
Has anyone figured out how to hunt rabbits and hares? I often see them through binoculars, but never near me. Not a single dog led me to them on the trail and drove them out of the thickets at me. Share your experience.

yeah they are hardt to come near i think you need to be able to shoot them whit a cal.22 would make it more fun

It is allowed to hunt rabbits and hares in the game with weapons of caliber 12 and 20, as well as arrows and crossbow bolts.

They are hard to find and get close to. I played 45 hours and got only one rabbit. Tracking them was surprising... The dog took me straight to it, Barked and pointed, like two steps away. I was so surprised I missed my shots. But it took nearly an hour to track on Roosevelt and my dog is maxed out.

I have this hunt in the same way. I just don't think it's okay to track a rabbit two or three times longer than a deer. Maybe I don't know something, or a non-working game mechanism.

Rabbit hunting needs improvement. The missing cal .22 is weird as well.

they already provided an update on HS2 (consoles) and they are taking note for more on all platforms. :)

HS1 received 2 updates during July/Aug - v1.1 and v1.2 https://steamcommunity.com/app/585080/allnews/

the best way to shoot rabbits its from a stand or with the german dog (Deutsche Kurzhaar), also best weather is when its raining, but yeah, its very hard to get them.
