A few things that annoy me greatly:
Is there any other way for duck licences to be bought except in batches of ten?
Maybe this game should give the player a smartphone, just like in CotW - we could use it to quickly place an order for another duck licence without having to trudge back to the cabin.
The other thing is the "ethical hunt penalty". I can't just hose down a flock of ducks and sort out the downed ones on the ground - I need to be super-careful to only hit each duck exactly once.
Screw this up, and you get fined 250 bucks. Honestly. I like this system (no females, wrong caliber, no licence, etc.), but those ducks have cost me a lot of money.
I don't quite understand that. So it's more ethical to leave the duck wounded? I mean crippled birds are quite common irl hunting, but finishing them quickly is always the goal. I get picking your shots and all, but the fines do seem excessive given the style of hunting. Also not sure about the females thing. Here in NC (USA) at least, waterfowl hunting typically doesn't have very stringent limitations on hens. Only one I can think of at the moment is you aren't allowed as many mallard hens as drakes, always subject to change of course. I haven't played the game yet so obviously I don't know all the details.
You just need to buy a labrador, the dog will go pick it up for you as it can swim.
