If I follow any other animal, the dog finds it i without any problem and then I leave the dog outside of the "working" area until I finish; however if I take him with me, there are high chances that the dog will spoil the hunt more than other thing.
Going back to the rabbits topic, I understand that the dog isn't warning you about the rabbit with distance enought and both of you are scaring the rabbits all the time. What I've try is to use the pointer dog, but even with him, the dog doesn't help with rabbits...
I don't know, maybe the dog should have more experience in order to be efective with rabbits. Let's see if someone have used a dog succesfully with rabbit hunting.
