I think that the term fast as possible is coplementary to too many shots. I don't think that an animal that it's taking 3/4 shots it's going to die fast and with an ethical death. I like that the game reminds me that, so if I rush with my shots, rather than only be penalized with "less score" it points to my wallet; because, let's be honest, 250 coins less in your pocket hurts in certain moments :).
You can hunt a duck in one shots easily if you don't start shooting like a terminator to a group; so think about this topic in the other way, if you find yourshelf with a "too many shots" message, you have failed in that hunt due to an unethical behaviour.
I have never leaved an animal hurt (if I can find him) even if I get penalized with "too many shots", because I feel that it's my fault that that animal didn't die in one or two shoots (of course, it's my own gameplay rule). When this message appears, usually I didn't have a clear shot and I rushed the first shot or I was terrible with the bow.
You can blame the game all time because it hurts -250 coins for a bird, but at the end, your behaviour regarding hunting wasn't ethical in that moment.
P.S. But to fix this, someone has to work on the game. So far, I see no signs of this.
They're still working on it, and are continuing to do so for a good while yet, but also prefer to do larger updates with the next one set to release in November (as per Nacon)
Because shooting an animal multiple times is unethical. If you're referring to non-waterfowl animals, aim for the lungs/heart for a quick (and ethical) kill.
The game is literally called Hunting Simulator, the clues in the title and whilst it might be your opinion, at the end of the day whether it's IRL, Hunting Sim 2, or other hunting games such as Call of the Wild, the fact is it's unethical to shoot an animal multiple times - especially if they're poor shots.
If you seriously have to shoot an additional three times to an already wounded animal - I wonder, just where were you aiming and why are you even playing a "Hunting Simulator" in the first place? Lol
