Me liking that game is a big part of why I bought this but after playing for a bit I wonder how much similarities there are going to be throughout the game? They even put in the damn booby fortune teller in the same way.

I agree that there are a hell of a lot of similarities, this one just involves more seaman and collecting things to make stuff. Otherwise it's the map layout, party, UI and the job system which are the same. There are some improvements, like changing your body size and fetishes. I think it's a good continuation to THC.

I could be remembering it wrong but there's another game that plays similar to both of these games too, but it hasn't been translated yet. So you can kinda put the three into a trilogy. I think the chronological order from first to last is Claire > ??? > Colette. I'm still pretty early in myself too, so I have no idea to what extent Claire and Colette's games are connected. Still hoping to find a cameo or some kind of detail that states they're in the same universe, rather than just make it headcanon.

Claire shows up in In BAC actually, when Colette's goes to cheer at the soccer match, Claire is in the audience. But there isnt really any mention of them being connected unless I missed other stuff
