How to delete or maybe rename an album

I can't figure out how to delete or rename an album, is this possible or do I just not know how to

This is what I'm here for. I created a 1997 album and put all the stuff away, took a picture. I have no idea what to do now. I went back to the main menu, album select and clicked the album below the first thinking that maybe I needed to manually select the next stage and it just started a new game for the first level. Now when i click resume, it takes me to this new save for the level I just completed. How do I delete the new save?

Edit: You have to go to the album, and select the back arrow instead of clicking on your room, which gives a delete option in the lower left. I find this unintuitive.

Just to fully spell it out - click backwards through the album until you're at the cover. There will be a trashcan icon to delete as well as an edit button!
