Now King's Bounty 2 is and I was feeling the same way. oh why is this not like all the others with the 10,000 stack armies etc. But after I said well premier drop wish lists from day 1. Finally started playing it and enjoying it. I came to there conclusions.
These dev's don't just make games they play them. If you noticed on this title there was no kick-starter early access just a prompt that there's going to be another King's Bounty drop time passed and the drop. Now these guys felt it was more important to modernize the franchise from the keep in mind this franchise multiple decades old, format and some dedicated fans got in there feelings.
Now it's hard to top some of the titles in the franchise. With that said from a turned based tactical rpg stand point this a great title. The voice acting, story and new troop mechanics make you redesign your strategy of course and it's cleaned up from launch and very stable.
So this just my opinion they wanted to do something different and give a better overall experience with the game utilizing all the new game advancements that have arisen over time
King's Bounty - $10 would be great for collectors plus it will have lots of people waiting for sales.
King's Bounty 2 add a real story, characters somewhat, and graphics. But yes they should have number 1 too.
EDIT: Finished the game just a few moments ago. Good, but with some faults. Leave your old KB expectations at the door and expect a hybride RPG (adventure)/tactics game and you'll be fine.
The only mistake devs done was calling this game KB2 instead of ATT2.
