And i did the same for kb2, however the way they design mana as "consumables" concern me for the late game in the future, its limited and i havent see another way to get mana except from loot and crystals.
Especially for summon spell, they cost like 30-35 mana percast.
You pretty much can though.
Spec into death/shadow magic
use an undead army comp
summon undead units
I even got a necromancer staff with a skull that I'm using now
Eg boost skills you have Light/Fire/Ice - have one in each rank level.
Eg direct damage spells same thing.
Mana Well skill exists in this game too (from the Mage City) but it's kinda hard to use I think. It's basically a stone skin + 3 mana cost, for 3 mana refund per attack. Only usable with a taunt unit. I'm keeping mana well at rank 1 for 8 mana cause 14 mana for 3 unit buff doesn't seem worth.
That way you can avoid overusing mana. I personally stopped using direct damage spells and primarily use control spells now (freeze/torpor) + rank 1 summon (to distract the AI)
