Steamrolling the game as Aivar ( Warrior )
Hi there,

I've made a small guide that can help beginners to complete the game on "very easy mode" without spending time on figuring out how everything works. Most of the time you'll be winning battles after 2-3 Rounds almost without loses so no stress and just enjoing the story line.

In this guide I assume that you play as Aivar(Warrior) but this guide, also, works if you play as Elisa(Paladin) but as Paladin it would require only slightly adjust the gameplay.

Here're some highlights of the gameplay:

1) It requires having only Tier 2-4 units in your army to easly complete the game, of course, you can use more powerful units which makes everything to be even easier.
2) It requires using only 2 Spells from the spell book and that's all.
3) It doesn't requires wearing any special equipment.
4) You don't need any equipment from The Scryer's Trials so you might not to do them.

4) Flamethrowers ( 8/8, Tier 3 )
5) Knights ( 8/8, Tier 3 )

----------------------------------------------

The army composition when Leadership is about 4640 :

Equipment: you should avoid having Magic Power and Arcane Knowledge on your equipment, try having Warfare / +% Melee Damage / Armor / Leadership if possible.

Spell Book: You need only 2 spells to play the game: 1) Celestial Fire 2) Dispel. You always can buy these spell in the main city or in the mage city. All other scrolls you can sell, of course, expect "Wayfaring" scrolls that give you bonuses outside combat, for example, like +50% more experience in the next 3 battles and so on, you should use "Wayfaring" as you get them.

How you should allocate Ideal Points between Anarchy and Order:

- at the beginning you should always choose only quest lines that reward "Anarchy" points instead of "Order" points until you reach 16 Anarchy Points then you should choose only "Order".

How you should allocate Ideal Points between Power and Finesse:

- at the beginning you should always choose only quest lines that reward you "Finesse" points instead of "Power" points until you reach 8 "Finesse" Points then you should only choose "Power points.

How you should allocate Talent Points:

1) Improve "Battle Preparation" ( Tier 1, Power ) talent to the 3rd level.

2) Improve "Magic of Light and Life" ( Tier 1, "Finesse" ) to the 1st level and learn "Celestial Fire" and "Dispel" from scrolls if you don't have the scrolls then buy them in the main city or in the mage city.

3) Improve "Protection" (Tier 1, Power ) to the 3rd Rank.

4) Once you get 8 "Finesse" points then improve "Magic of Light and Life" ( Tier 1, "Finesse" ) to have the 2nd level and then improve "Ancient Languages" ( Tier 1, "Finesse" ) for few levels, it should give you Arcane Knowledge, you need to have 30 Arcane Knowledge without any equipment in order to upgrade your 2 spells "Celestial Fire" and "Dispel" to the 2nd rank so it might be enough to improve "Ancient Languages" for 1 level or 2 levels, remember you just need to get 30 Arcane Knowledge without equipment. Once you get 30 "Arcane Knowledge" upgrade your 2 spells( "Celestial Fire" and "Dispel" ) to the 2nd rank which allows you to cast "Celestial Fire" on 3 of your units instead of 1 and the 2nd rank of "Dispel" allow you to dispel enemy units so you will able to dispel "Mind Control" or "Madness" from your units.

5) Improve Insidious Maneuver ( Tier 1, Anarchy ) to the 3rd level

6) Once you get 8 Anarchy Points improve "Hurry Up" ( Tier 2, Anarchy ) to the 2nd level

7) Once you get 16 Anarchy Points improve "Onslaught" ( Tier 3, Anarchy ) to the 2nd level

8) Once you get 8 Power Points improve "Dodge" ( Tier 2, Power ) and "Defense" ( Tier 2, Power ) to the 3rd Rank

Other Talent Points distribution isn't important because you already can easily complete the game.

How to do combats:

- In the 1st round when your units have an extra speed buff due talents and skills don't send multiple of your units on one enemy unit try to attack different enemy units with your units because that way in the 2nd round you won't lose damage due over damaging almost killed units and it will make "Taunt" ability of your Knight more effective.

- Always use "Forced March" active skills of your Swordsmen(they get it at the 2nd rank) and Militiamen(already available to them at the 1st rank) in the 1st round. It gives them +2 speed in the 1st round and +25% Armor for 2 Rounds, also, when you get Anarchy Talent "Hurry Up" (2/2) then with this skill they'll have 7 Speed in the 1st round which allows them to reach almost every enemy in the 1st round, also, it gives them +25% Armom in the 1st and 2nd rounds.

- Always use "Celestial Fire" spell to buff your units with +30% Additional Holy dame in the 1st round BUT If you know that enemy heroes or enemy units use "Mind Control" or "Madness" in the 1st round then then it'd be better to keep the cast for "Dispel" in the 1st round to remove "Mind Control" or "Madness" from your units. Also, don't forget that in the 1st round you can buff with "Celestial Fire" only 3 of 5 your units so in the 2nd round it makes sense to buff other 2 units.

- Always try to put your Flaming Eagles/Eagles on enemy ranged unit BUT notice that Flaming Eagles are vulnerable to Frost Damage so avoid putting them on Frost Elementals and Eagles are vulnerable to Fire Damage so avoid putting them on Fire Elementals

- When you get Knights then always use their "Taunt" Skill in the 1st round, you should place them in such place that is hardly reachable for enemy units, it means that to reach them enemy units must go through the "zone of control" of your melee unit.

- When you get Cavalryman then at the beginning of every battle always place 5-7 squares away from the target you're going attack with it because every square Cavalryman pass before the attack gives them +10% damage bonus so 7 passed squares give them 70% damage bonus, also, don't forget  Cavalryman ignore "Zone of Control" so it can pass near melee units without getting hit.

- Don't forget you have Insidious Maneuver(3/3 Anarchy Talent) which makes the attacks of your units to dispel buffs from enemy units so you can easily dispel "Taunt" from an enemy unit just by attacking it.
