Horse riding in this game is arse

You would think in this year and age there are so many games with horse riding mechanics that no one can get it so wrong but KB2 manages the impossible. Why would the developer think it is a good idea to let the button (or mouse) which controls your view on horseback also steer the horse?

Every time when I try to look at something by the road while riding the horse it turns the horse around and with two buttons (or both WASD and mouse) steering the horse it is a constant pain to lead it in the direction you want. This is so frustrating!

If walking is not so painfully slow I would never use this feature.

Everyone just uses Cheat Engine to crank up the game speed to 1.5-3x because of this. It makes the game so much better. They said they're going to make walking faster and horse less bad in a future patch.

Download cheat engine from the right place (go to wikipedia to get the correct location in case you're worried)

When CE is open, click File -> Open Process and choose King's Bounty 2 (open KB2 if it wasn't already - order of opening which app doesn't matter but KB2 needs to be open before you choose it from this menu)

On the right click the "ENable Speedhack" checkbox

Change it from 1.0 to 1.5 or other number as preferred

If you restart KB2, you will need to choose it from the "Open Process" menu again.

Optional but highly recommended: go to Edit -> Settings -> Hotkeys and add a hotkey for toggling speedhack, or perhaps Speedhack speed + and Speedhack speed -. Personally, I made PgUp and PgDn increase and decrease speedhack so I could control it at will

This works almost perfectly. The one known problem we encountered is that during cutscenes (not normal dialog), the cutscene will play fast and the sound (voice) will be cut short. You'll want to turn speedback back to 1.0 during those few cutscenes.

If your game is completely paused you might have set speed to 0.0 :)

I recommened the speed mod which increases default speed 4x and walking is changed to sprinting speed, about 8x, easy to install, just unpack the files in the games folder and that's it. Only the walking speed is effected while cheat engine speed up the whole game which isn't imho necessary.

I would suggest this one (by the same author) instead:

for 2 reasons:
1) it increases battle speed also
2) it is text change only and you can change speed values if you don't like how they are changed by author
